Why
Do I Hear So Much Negative Information Regarding
Credit Repair?
There are a number of answers
to this question depending on the source of the
negative information,
so I will address each one individually.
Before you read on I am
going to warn you that I take a VERY simplistic view
on this issue, and don't attempt to sugarcoat my opinions.
Read what I have to say and see if you agree.
Credit
Bureaus - Responding
to credit report inquiries requires people, which
translates to time and money. Simply put, the less
information credit bureaus have to investigate, the
more money they make.
Creditors
- Same
answer as above. It requires people, which translates
to time and money. How do you think creditors would
like their employees to spend their time? Investigating
past activities that are not going to generate additional
revenue, or on the phone drumming up new business.
Government - Among
other things, our Government is chartered with making
sure businesses and individuals operate within the
confines of the law. There are many credit repair companies
that promote a process called "file segregation".
Without going into unnecessary
detail, "file segregation" comprises, shall we say,
gray areas that are debatable. And this is why the
government has a gripe. On the other hand, the
strategies outlined within my credit improvement course
are completely
legal.
Without beating around the
bush, it comes down to knowing the laws and how they
work. For example, why do so many drivers charged with
Driving Under The Influence (DUI) retain their license
after getting their second, third, and fourth DUIs?
They walk into a court room, walk out not guilty, and
did not break any laws. How do they do this? How is
it that O.J Simpson is walking free? It's called knowing
how the system works.
And improving your credit
is no different! Look,
you may have done some things in the past that you
wouldn't do today, but unfortunately
your past continues to haunt you. And probably in a
way that is causing you to pay more than you have to,
or creating embarrassing situations by having your
credit applications rejected.
Yes, there
are those that will have you believe that there is
nothing you can
do, and that's the way it's got to be for the next
7-10 years. Well, how is it that hundreds of thousands
of negative entries on credit reports are removed on
a daily basis?
I'll
tell you how. Because
individuals just like you finally decided they were
going to take a step in the right direction, and improve
their credit.
Consumer Protection
Agencies - I think Consumer Protection Agencies play
an important role. Hell, I've gone to them on several
occasions when I thought I was had. Their primary
concern with credit repair is that there are way too
many credit repair companies that promise
the world, take your money, and don't deliver.
At the same time, some of
these companies provide a very valuable service and
have satisfied customers to prove it. Unfortunately,
it's the scenario of a few bad apples spoiling the
whole bunch.
It's also an issue of paying
a lot of money for something you could do yourself
with just a little knowledge and a proven game plan.
That's exactly what my course delivers. Think about
it, do you think Consumer Protection Agencies would
have any concerns if you spent less than a hundred
dollars and improved your credit?
Of course not, they are
concerned about consumers, most of whom don't have
an extra dollar to waste, spending hundreds of dollars
and get nothing in return. And it does happen.
Media
- The media also plays an important role,
similar to that of Consumer Protection Agencies.
And much like Consumer Protection Agencies, they
have a genuine interest in sharing information that
is in the best interest of their viewers.
Naturally, this includes
informing viewers how to avoid spending money on questionable
offers such as credit repair companies that take your
money and deliver nothing, or, take your money and
do what you could do for considerably less money.
So there
you have it. My two sense on why credit repair receives its
fair share of negative publicity. Again, not one
of the organizations mentioned above would take issue
with you spending less than $50 and improving your
credit. And that's exactly what I show you how to
do.
Forget
The Hype, Can You Set Realistic Expectations For
Me?
Sure. Well,
as you may have noticed I do not make excessive claims
anywhere on this website and I
take this approach for two reasons:
Look, anybody interested
in improving their credit has their own set of circumstances,
and their own expectations. What's important is to be
realistic and do everything possible to improve your
credit.
