was a sprightly 115 years old (and he lived to be 120).

health and vitality Shigechiyo enjoyed. Aside from a hearing
impairment,
he was in excellent condition and suffered none of the ailments
common among the elderly. Shigechiyo had even worked
until he was 105.
Before leaving the island, the
journalist was astonished to discover that most of the
island’s inhabitants were
active, healthy, and free of serious diseases — and
typically lived to the age of 95.

calcium levels. If magnesium levels are low, calcium levels
are low.
