(Contains IBUPROFEN 10% [USP]) IbuCream
is a topical cream and belongs to a group of medicines
called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics (NSAIDs).
IbuCream is used to
relieve pain and reduce swelling in a number of conditions
affecting the joints and muscles. IbuCream
works particularly well on inflammation of tendons,
ligaments, muscles and joints due to trauma (e.g. sports
injuries, sprains, strains and bruises), osteoarthritis
and bursitis.
The
amount of IbuCream
needed per application will vary depending upon the
size of the painful or swollen area being treated. You
can apply IbuCream
3 or 4 times a day unless your doctor
advises otherwise. You may notice a slight cooling effect
when you rub the cream onto your skin.
IbuCream is NOT intended
to treat headaches nor to reduce fever. Suitable for
ages 16 and over.
Gently
massage a small amount of IbuCream
onto the
skin around the swollen or painful area as well as trigger
points
(see RX Pain chart).
IbuCream
is for external application only and
NOT to be taken orally. Do NOT apply IbuCream
to cuts or open wounds or any other area where the skin
is abnormal. After applying the cream do NOT cover with
bandages or sticking plaster. Do NOT get IbuCream
into your eyes. If this happens wash your eyes out with
clean water and seek immediate medical advice. If your
symptoms do NOT improve within 7 days or if they get
worse seek immediate medical advice.
IbuCream
is designed to rapidly and effectively relieve pain
without gastro-intestinal upset.
